Meet The Artist
Artist’s Statement
I live life “seeing” artistically, always composing paintings in my imagination from everyday experiences. This is a wonderful way to live life, and is a true gift from God.
My favorite mediums are pastel, the new Interactive Acrylics, and watercolor. Each has a quality I love to use that I can’t get with the others. Subjects just seem to have an appropriate medium that expresses what I am trying to convey. Color thrills me! My work is considered to be somewhat impressionistic, and I usually like to run my compositions off of the edges of the painting to imply the world around the subject.
Art should be understandable to any viewer. I believe 'fine arts' denotes a realm of higher thinking and asthetic creativity that can be widely appreciated. Motives of the heart of an artist for creating a painting to be shared with the public should contribute in a universally positive way to the culture. When an artist leads a viewer inward, I feel that he should also lead them out again, hopefully to be better--not baser--just as the best-loved stories do with the featured hero's journey.
As an aritst, I hope to use my inspiration to in turn inspire others, intending to be a blessing to viewers and collectors as they relate to a timeless composition that is universally appealing.
Though I consider myself a painter, I also have a limited line of unique original designs in handcrafted jewelry, available to be seen at another website, www.pamela-poole.fineartamerica.com. Each design is named for the inspiration that led to its creation.
